Fake Rubber Snakes*
Regarding the rubber snake industry (and it's relation to expectations) :
If there are not as many kinds of novelty snakes as there are actual snakes, the industry has plenty of room to grow and thrive for some time to come.
If there are as many species of real snakes as there are rubber joke snakes, the industry might soon run out of steam as there are no new snakes to roll out. Also, if this 1:1 ratio is true, the market for rubber snakes is far larger then anyone could have reasonably expected.
*Rubber implies fake, so this is slightly redundant
