Stop the Press
We need newspapers, sure. Without them we wouldn’t learn about media mergers, savings at both local and chain stores; we might not even be reminded about how much Family Circle sucks, every day.
Some days though, not much of note happens. On days like this, it should be more acceptable for local newspapers to publish nothing but blank sections and pages, with the only text being a headline that reads: NOTHING TODAY, CITIZENS! This would be both refreshingly honest and better than the pieces that traditionally run on slow news days. The cat born with no legs but two tails is a hero, in its own way, but this information is better distributed by internet forward, not a free press.
